Normally stiff winged, favouring cliff tops, passing at a pace….

….but when nature dictates and blustery winds come from a favourable ( for the photographer ) quarter, they have to combat the elements and act out of character, close in…..

….then you see the beauty and complexity of their wings....

.....and they remind you of their link to their senior cousins the albatrosses.
