this bird had not grasped,
the concept of glass.

Why would it?
perhaps the sun's angle,
hid the hard facts.

Likely not a full frontal,
committed smash,
foot up in time to avoid injury.

Drama of the event left,
a delicate dust feather print,
with apple blossom beyond.
