Sad news to report - but a life to remember with thanks.

My best friend Charles left us on New Years Eve.

Amongst many other things he encouraged this sometimes unadventurous man to join the study group in Spain with him.

That was the start of my fond connection with a friend in Spain, and my developing love for that country, it's people and the birds.

I could always count on him.

My White Stork with nesting materials is dedicated to him.
